The fullness of summer is rich with wildlife; porupine, deer, fox, amphibians and reptiles, bald eagles, peregrine falcons and even the occasional bear, as well as many nesting marine birds can be seen from the beautiful shoreline road and on site. The Nature Reserve is a significant site for the conservation of the red-necked grebe.
Fall brings spectacular colours and the southwards return of the bird migration.
Cabot Head Lightstation is part of a World Bioshpere Heritage Site, recognised for its unique geology, flora and fauna.
