THE ENTIRE CABOT HEAD SITE, INCLUDING THE MUSEUM AND VISITOR CENTRE CONTINUES TO BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. PLEASE SEE "ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS" FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.
Come visit the Historic Cabot Head Lightstation Museum and Visitor Centre. Tour through the rooms which display the area’s unique natural and historical wonders.
Learn about the local flora and fauna in the F.O.N sponsored Natural History Room. In the Lindsay Township sponsored room, view the local logging artifacts from the Lymburner Logging. There are also many fishing artifacts from the Menary Fishery that was located in Wingfield Basin.
A third room, sponsored by the Lindsay Historical Society, provides a glimpse of life as a lightkeeper at Cabot Head over the past century. Also check out the large scale model of the lighthouse as it originally existed. Take a glimpse into the past for the history and development if lighthouses in the world.
We are currently working on developing an historical radio room.
